WTB: Chrome trim under Targa Glass for 1970 911

    Hello

Looking for the chrome side trim pieces under the Targa glass for a 1970 911.

I ordered some new ones, can't remember where they came from, and they are different. The first picture shows my original piece and the second picture shows the original piece and the new piece side by side for comparison. When did the chrome strip change the way it was fastened?

My next post will probably be - can anybody give me some pointers to get the rear targa glass back into the car...

    Thanks

I would check with Porsche to see if the correct trim is still available, originals were chromed brass and I don't think the new ones are that kind of quality.? As far installing rear Targa glass, MANY threads/tutorials on this, 2 man job at least and very tedious

AASE had some NOS ones on their website at about $300 USD each.

    Hello Craig

Thanks for the tip. I will contact AASE. For me AASE will always remind me of the original Aase Salvage in Anaheim owned by the brothers Dennis and Dave Aase - I don't think the other brother, Randy, was involved in the Salvage side.
Do you know when the targa trim piece changed? In my picture I show the oringinal piece with the studs, and the new piece I recieved without the mounting studs and the 90 degree piece that wraps around the door striker panel.
