    Front suspension frame jig

Has anyone built the frame jig as sold by Stoddards for front suspension restoration?

    P363a is the factory part.

    Front Suspension Frame Jig

Chris, the actual factory numbers were P863 and P863A.

P863 was a template originally designed for the 914.
    P863A was a bolt-on supplement for the 911.

    Jon,

Thanks - I had the numbers from this earlier thread.

    http://www.early911sregistry.org/for...-alignment-jig

We have just finished making an assembly jig so we can make a few.

Have you seen one? I wondered if they were dowelled at the loint interface.

    Chris,

I tried to clarify the number confusion on page 2 of that thread. Someone had read the first digit of the printed number as a "3".

The original jig pictured in that thread apparently belongs to Alan of Canford Classics in the UK.
No, I have not seen one in person, so I cannot answer your question about dowels.

Here is another view from a factory manual, showing the attachment of the "A" supplement...

Yes , Stoddard has the around $614 quite a lot...
Also the posts that Chris_Seven referred to was a few years back and the person involved in making the jig turns out he was a Stoddard employee. His posts related to the jig and those interested dried up.
So for now seems there is only one game.
I had considered using my 73 as it is perfect and never any body issues all original and solid.
Assume dimensins would be same for my 70 and 71 ?
Anyone willing to post dimensions for the jig?
    Thanks
