    Problem engine

My 73 makes strange noises (tics) when i brake on the engine. At 1.800-2.000 it somethings hicks when I accelerate. The engine has a perfect compression. Gus rebuilt the mfi pump and I bought new injectors.

I spoke with a mechanic who claims that the engine gets not enough air??

    Who can confirm this.

    Thanks

I own the car since 2007 and the problem was always there. Now it seems it's worser

It would be virtually impossible to diagnose a solution for that via computer, I hope your mechanic is good at MFI systems. For starters he's going to need to be able to determine what the running mixture is with an air/fuel ratio analyzer. When a pump is rebuilt it almost always requires minor adjustments when installed.
