    Seat recline issue

Disassembled 1972 911t seats for reupholster on reassembly the reclining lever is locked and will not allow seat to recline. I understand there is a cable that needs to be checked does anyone have a diagram or instructions?

Make sure the detent gear is not rusted to the mechanism, the lever slides the detent gear on the shaft until the desired seat back position is found, then you let go and it should spring back and engage, holding that desired position. I had to oil mine for a long time before I could get it to move freely again
