Thread: Euro swb lenses

  1. #1

    Euro swb lenses

"Euro" turn signal and tail light lenses off an Australia delivered '68 car.

    Lenses only.

    Used condition with no cracks.

Front right has different marking to others ... not educated in swb turn signals so can anyone shed any light on the markings?

Asking $400 + postage from Sydney, Australia.

    64 DOT markings.

Do you know where these originated from?

No idea Frank - they were on the car when I bought it and led to believe they've been on there for at least 25 years according to PO.

What does 64 DOT markings mean?

DOT markings: Can-o-worms that has caused a bit of a ruckus.

The debate is whether Euro tail light lenses had the "64" markings.

Please email me pics of lenses separated from their birth mother. If they're original I'll buy them.

    Thanks

Thanks Frank, pics on the way.

I certainly can't vouch for originality so will wait for the jury's verdict/s ...

original rears should have clear plastic over the reflector - not red, no glue around the lens makes me wonder about originality. Taskers made lenses way back with Bosch/Germany markings but they received a cease and desist order from Bosch. Not calling these repros yet but more info needed.

    Thanks guys.
I'll get them out of the housings and post some more pics of insides too.

Will post pics but still can't get access to the lenses as the panel shop's shut ... will update ASAP.

Finally got lenses out of housings - appear to be painted ... so I'm assuming not original and open to offers.
