FS: @eBay - Repro Orange Hood Badge

When I saw the "REU" name on the back of this badge I decided to buy one to see what the quality was like. It is very high quality and if someone is doing a full resto with bright new paint this badge would be a good option, I paid $50 for it on Ebay and I am glad I bought one. The back pins are bent a little too far inward but I think they will bend out to fit the old holes. Here is a couple pictures of mine and the link to Ebay. http://www.ebay.com/itm/131916620302...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

    Thanks Mike.

For 50 bucks how do you go wrong? Ordered the 2 that were left but I'm sure they've got a ton more.

They have some cool NOS parts. If someone is tempted to buy that brand new 924 fuel distributor, don't.

    I can definitely beat $350.

I just stepped up for one too.
Thanks Mike for drawing attention to this!
It really beats using my "patina'd" badge.

    It's all Mike's fault if there's a price increase.

FYI got an estimate from a restorer that would replate the badge gold ( no enamel work) for about $300. Said that it included nickel plating as the brass "absorbs" the gold over time if applied directly without the nickel layer. More than $50 but nice to know it's an option.

Guy's let me know what think about the badge when you get them. I think they are NOS for LWB/SWB when customers needed replacement badges awhile ago when REU was the supplier

    hahahahahahaha!

    Don't wash your car!

    Mike,
Not impressed. Way too shiny for me.
I'm going to throw them in the corner of the glass bead cabinet for a few weeks to add patina.

I agree too shiny but they are very well made and just need some "Patina".
