    FS: 1973 Hot Rod

    1973 Hot Rod $109,000. PRICE DROP (9.13.2016) $89,000 - I want this gone, please.

Strong (rare) engine, great suspension. Drives awesome.

Less than 1,000 miles on this build.

Started with a 1973 matching numbers car, MFI, was original except white paint and missing steering wheel.

Then I backdated it a bit here and there. Except suspension, which I forward-dated. Lol

Engine is a very EARLY aluminum case #900258 (the 158th engine).
2.5 liter, boat tailed, squirters, all the case modifications.
    900mm x 66xx STD / STD counterweight crankshaft.
    Carillo rods.
    S cams.
    964 oil pump.
    40 webers.
    Dual plug, MSD ignition.
    New SSI heat exchangers.

Originally a Sepia Brown car painted over with an off white a long time ago. Paint is crap.

No rust on car except what is visible on passenger fender. SOLID car. No repairs anywhere I can find.

    Working original sunroof.

    New GTS Classics seats.

Early green gauges, freshly restored like new, except regular 10,000rpm tach.

    New Dash pad from Stoddard.

Period correct restored radio. New speaker by Stoddard.

    New visors from Stoddard.

Door cards from a 69. Vent windows at doors from an early car.

    Rubber mats.

    Wevo shifter.

NOS aluminum S front calipers from Stoddard.

Suspension is 100% new, combination of Elephant Racing parts for an SC, new Bilstein shocks, strut brace welded.

Deep 6 fronts with hearts, REAL $$$ 7R rears, fresh restorations by Harvey W.

Avon tires, less than 1,000 miles, 195 fronts, 215 rears, as recommended by Harvey W (thanks Harvey).

New exterior lights and lenses all around.

    OPTIONS:
    * Take it as-is with red hood (with hood lights) and deck lid, or I can put back to original white ones (no hood lights).
    * Standard oem flat 6" Fuchs with good normal 195/75/15 tires (save some $)
    * Engine (matching numbers, stock original MFI, running)
    * Gauges, shifter, seats...

This was a matching numbers car. I have all the original parts (running MIF engine, hood, deck lid, seats, suspension, gauges, shifter) except the steering wheel. But it is a Sepia car, so who cares. If desired by purchaser, I will sell all original parts as well (additional $).

    Thanks,
    Clarke

Previous appearance? If so, it was a great car to do your build on.

I'll be at Road America Thursday thru Monday racing my E car in the PCA Club Race.
And I am bringing this car as well for a pit car. Ill be in the paddock next to Goldcrest if you want to find the car.
And on Saturday night it will be in town at the car show.

Me too, Marco. So many things about it are just right and it all works. Nice rig and fairly priced.

Thanks for posting that picture. I forgot to take pictures of the car show this year. I was in the bar watching Wisconsin upset LSU.
And yes Patina was exactly what I was going for. A few of the parts are still a little too shiny though - head lights, driving lights, turn sinals, wheels, roof rack. I tried not washing it for the last 6 months. Lol
