Hello

I thought I would try and post daily over the next couple weeks as my family and I head to these two iconic tracks. We are leaving from Toronto for Limerock today
for their festival. Running from Thursday to Monday, from there we head to The Glen for the old Zippo event.At Lime Rock I will be racing in group 7 against a plethora of 911 and 914 cars as well as a few Jags and American muscle as well. The Glen I am in group 12 which is a bit of a bastardized group. For some reason they do not know where to put a 73 RS build?? So I race against 90's Corvettes, Subaru's and a few other 911's and 914-6's.

I will update as I come across interesting cars people etc.If you are at any of these events stop by and say hi. I will be meeting up with fellow
members Dana Parker and Frank Beck at these events.

My car for this trip is a 1973 911 AKA Kermit built to 2.7 spec on a early aluminum case. Below are pics from Toronto loading up and one action shot just for the hell of it!

Next stop will be Lewiston NY to check in on a authentic 914-6 race car!

Arrived in Lewiston NY to visit this old friend! A couple drinks and some late night wrenching.
Authentic 1970 914-6 made into a GT 2.5 in the early 70's with a dealer GT kit. Awesome car
that should be back on track soon.

Drinks before wrenching?

Reminds me of some South Africans I race with. They were invited to help with a study; run some laps on a track before cocktails and after.

Their lap times were not affected at all until 3 or 4 drinks.

NOT what the folks conducting the study wanted to see.

Thursday
Arrived around 5pm, drive seemed to take forever. I'm guessing there is some sort of vortex around Utica that adds time to the drive. 2 yrs in a row I fallen for this.
Anyways, the track looks perfect the atmosphere is a buzz and the cars are stunning. Full array of true Trans Am cars ready to do battle along with other cars worth seven
figures. We rented a historic train station (Historic is the theme this weekend) as our cottage and the kids are loving it.

Friday is Qualifying/practice followed by dinner with John Morton and Peter Brock! Should be interesting!

Well race weekend has not gone as planned. Chasing a fuel issue and have missed the first two practice sessions.
Car seems to rev nicely static but under load is bogs and wants to stall. revs very slowly etc. At a bit of a loss changed the coil and checked the MSD box to no avail.
Going to look at the pump and tank pick up points in the morning. I have attached a few pictures of some of the hardware in the paddock.
