Anyone know more about Porsche 911 1966 with plate 2WRG118 ???

    Hi,

Got to know that this car has got the plate number 2WRG118 in the past. That was written in one off the papers found in the car. Do anyone know anything about that? Would be interested in the history...

    Thx

It's probably the least interesting information someone can give you, but www.15q.net/ca.html shows that it was near the end of a series of license plates from 2GQAxxx in October 1987 to 3AAA000 in 1992. So, whoever put that plate on the car probably bought the car or moved it into California around late 1991-early 1992.

Interesting stuff. In addition to a photo-copy of my original request, the bulk of the response consists of three sheets of what appears to be screen-dump-type print-outs . . . albeit nicely/officially stamped in blue as ‘certified documents’ --- 4 pages total, all crisply-folded, neatly packaged.

Contents. There were two records ---- one, for the current registered owner --- me --- and a second one, going back to the previous recorded registration. Each record includes several dates, and the vehicle’s tag number at the time, as well as any previous tags, even mileage. Registered owners’ names appear ---- but no address or city . . .

Not sure how this kinda request would work for an out-of-country Requestor, but . . .

. . . California Department of Motor Vehicles supplies registration information --- for a nominal fee

And NeunElf is correct --- the plate that you're asking about was issued a while ago. But that plate may 've been registered more recently. CA DMV keeps records for 5 years, so --- if the plate was registered since 2011 . . .
