Bonhams Goodwood Revival: Porsche 550RS Spyder sells for £4.6 million

At Goodwood Revival in Chichester UK today: Porsche 550RS Spyder sold for £4.6 million (6.1m US Dollar)

Sold for £4,593,500 inc. premium which is said to be a world record for the model. Further info in links below for those interested in details:

Originality, being ummolested , well preserved example seemed to be important factors in this sale. Doubt we'll see a bare metal nut and bolt full on make it better than new restoration on this one anytime soon. It looked like a decades' old classic car.

The auction is just a small part of the Goodwood Revival weekend. At times today track conditions were tricky for due to rain for example during the Royal Automobile Club International Tourist Trophy Celebration race ...nerve wracking for owners of expensive and rare old racers.

Probably not as nerve wracking as when this little lot was assembled and used on Goodwood race track back in 2012 however.
