Thumbs up 1965 Solex Engine 9007XX

Its missing the hard fuel lines, the crossbar linkage rods and 1 cross bar support upright. It has an NOS fuel pump in the bag. A very nice set of Solex carbs, manifolds and air cleaner assembly. I'll do everyone a favor if it's alright.... (I can't confirm this is it but it sure sounds like it)

No pics of the included breather and no mention if it is correct. Certainly sounds like the same animal for sale. A rarity

I am not interested to buy, but all the more interested to know whether this cast has date stamps on both halves. Could you have a look please?

I have what I consider a VERY NICE 65 2.0 engine and the case has the following markings. Engine type and engine number in the typical location near the fan mount. Part number one on each case half (901.101.101.01) and on the top of the case there is a mark on each half the matches up with each other (mine says 137) There are no other markings on the case itself. That being said every other part has a month/date stamp

I stopped breathing for a moment! I am looking for early 65 case ending in "437"

Thanks for the help on posting the pics. I need it from time to time. Here are a few of the numbers on the case that are clearly visible. Ric.HPIM1485.jpg

No doubt this is a nice engine indeed, fair price also. I was wondering whether this engine had casting dates already. Around this time (Feb-Mar 1965), or maybe slightly earlier they started appearing on the casting, before there were no dates. You will find them here
