    Ledson Winery Concours

Drove to Kenwood yesterday to attend one of my personal favorites - the PCA, Zone 7, Redwood Region - "Ledson Winery Concours"...........only to be let down by extremely low turn-out, 100 degree temperatures and horrendous traffic coming & going. Two out of the three negatives I mentioned aren't anyone's fault, and I think the traffic may have had something to do with the championship deciding Indy-car race at Sears Point a few miles away, but I do not beleive there's a logical, rational explanation why such a traditionally great little event, usually very well attended with a varied and colorful cross-section of Porsches from northern California would have such a small number of entries and such a dismally small number of spectators.

Well, it was what it was and there's really no point in trying to read some great cosmic truth into what my be a purely personal observation........here are most of the photos I took.

Note: As an aside, the Signal Yellow '73 with the Pepito seats and a 3-liter CIS motor ( but including the mechanical injection 2.4 liter original motor in a crate ) restored by Dink Farmer is for sale. If there's any interest, PM me and I'll be happy to put you in touch with the owner - there's nothing in it for me, I'll just provide a name and a phone number - just met the owner yesterday for the first time.
