FS 1967 912 project Soft Window Targa

Selling my project 1967 912 Soft Window Targa with VIN 550445. Originally Ivory/Black. Porsche built approximately 544 examples of these soft windows. According to the 912 Registry site, fewer than 80 are known to still exist. Last known chassis # on file is 550529

This 912 was involved in a rear end collision and pushed into another car about 25 years ago. At that point in time, 912's weren't worth that much and the insurance company deemed it a total loss and it was sold to a junk yard where it immediately lost it's original engine, Targa top and soft top assembly but did still retain the 5 speed trans.

Then the car was sold to an enthusiast who had visions of restoring it but left it sitting outside for all these years which is how it got rusty. The body structure is still very solid as evidenced by the way that the doors still fit and shut properly with good gaps.

The car will need the floors and front suspension pan replaced along with repairing usual rust at bottoms of both front fenders and a few spots in outer skin of the doors. The door bottoms themselves are not rusty. The rockers, jack spurs and area under the rear torsion bars have surface rust but no perforation so will not need replacing. Area under back window in engine compartment also has no rust.

Car comes with a clean California title in my name. $19,500 OBO. Located in Santa Rosa, CA. If any serious interest, please email me at kwiky59gt@yahoo.com for pix as I can't seem to get any loaded on here.

    Thanks, Dave
