    No Doubt. I took a good look at the car at Mecum... Just a run of the mill early 912. Nothing Prototype about it.... Decent restoration... A $75k car Max.... Seller should have taken the $290k

    Mecum allows for house bidding up the the reserve (as do many other auction houses) so the no sale bid amount is not always indicative of real world money on the car. It is quite possible the owner did not take the $290k cause the chandelier did not have the cash.
