    Color code from Serial No.?

    Is there a way, short of getting a COA or Kardex, of determining the original paint code from a serial/vin#? I'm still trying to track down my father's 70T coupe and am hoping to narrow the field.

    The short answer is no. The VIN will tell you body type, Coupe or Targa, model designation, T,E,S etc., sequence and year of manufacture, but not color. Only the paint tag on the door post or the COA/Kardex will tell you that. Good luck in your search.
