Forged 73 RS/RSR ally suspension cross bar.

Hi, has anyone seen one for sale recently? I am looking for a guide sales price for what is a very rare item. I have a few tucked away and someone wants to buy one for a 1st 500 RS but I have nothing to guide the price. Anyone seen one for sale /or sold?

    Thanks in advance

    Alan

You can always email Friesinger and ask him for availability and price. He is always the most expensive on vintage Porsche parts but it will give you an idea.

Heard recently that it's arround 5000€ each. For what it's worth, the guy wasn't really serious on selling...

I believe a good forged original would be $2500 or more. Not sure I'd guess as high as Olivier's $5.6K, but you can figure that if that's the last part someone needs to finish an $800K RS or $1.1 million RSR, you can just name your price.

Be aware, there is a fairly accurate replica being made (the one Jack refers to), but it is cast, not forged.

If that is a replica part at over $3000, then a forged original should easily be worth $5600

Unless the cast ones are polished, it's easy to point the repop. Grainy look VS smooth forged one.

And yes, the repops can be found for about 2000€.

Hi all, thanks for your help. I guess it would easier not to sell as I may in the future need it myself. But, if trying to help another, both parties need a fair price. I don't think any repro will really do as unless forged they will not be close to the original. So hopefully I am not miles out at $4000?

    Thanks again
