    Shifter indentification

I am going to sell these shifters once I work out what year they are for to avoid the SWB or LWB description in the for sale ad so any help is appreciated. I always post my 911 stuff for sale first on this forum because I appreciate the help.

    Thanks

Nr. 2 is a 72 unit. Nr. 1 if the knob is threaded on is 64 to 67? I think press ons started in 68?

Ok so I removed the shifter knob and it was a press on so 68-71 shifter? 901 transmission. And #2 is a 72 only shifter from I could gather what transmission designation was in a 72?

Not so fast! We need a shot of the #1 lever taken from the front. It doesn't look like it came from a 911 or 912 from what I see. Take the boot off of it and shoot a picture. The 72 is a "one year only". 72s came with a 915.

    Ciao

I need a picture of the whole lever taken from the front. Remove the boot before taking the picture, please.

Ok Jim I think I get where you are going, it's the bend in the lever it self that helps identify it? Thank you good sir for your help.

    Thanks, Michael

You have a 68 - 71 901 shifter. I thought it may have been a 70 -71 914 shifter but those don't have the weird bend in them.

    Ciao

    Jim
