    New Mounts

    Hi Everyone,

I'm looking to upgrade engine and transmission mounts in for the Tangerine Dream('71 911T)

After doing some searching, it looks as if most spirited drivers prefer the WEVO mounts.

I'm looking for something a bit stiffer but not solid. WEVO seem to have 2 variable shore values so I'm curious if anyone has any experience with these? I don't want to ruin the ride and have harsh NHV.

Are there any other possibilities out there? There's a rumor I heard that the "RS" mounts are a bit stiffer then the "T", has anyone ever done a comparison?

Thanks in advance and happy driving,
    Matt

I would use a Cabrio Mount - 911.375.043.07 - significantly stiffer but still damps well.

If you buy 4 and press two of them out of the housing they will also fit in the transmission beam on the early car.

Deutsche Parts sell them as Club Sport parts for around $70 a set of 4 - They are made by Hamburg Technic and work well.

The first set we used was 10 years ago and we still service the car that has them fitted and they are still good.

Thanks for the information and feedback. I'll do some more homework on these and take a look.

For the price and how long you say they last, it's certainly not a bank breaker to give them a shot

    Appreciate the support

    Hi Bert,

Thank you for the offer, unfortunately we don't have the required 10 post minimum yet to send PM's. Silly issue to have, but we went ahead and ordered the one from Ebay in the meantime.
Again, if these doesn't provide the type of feeling we're looking for we may come back to your offer and try those out as well.

    Thanks again.
