2.0S cam timing question / confusion

the car is in the final stage , engine rebuild , all part new/ rebuilt
now to cam timing , I have wayne books and seen video but one part still has me confused

the switch between sides to side and the turn , no turn is confused in all video or methods

#1 and 4 rocker or installed and adjusted

    help me fill the blanks

1- you set the crank at Z1 , and cam with dot / keyway on top ( that's 1 @ TDC spark)

2- you rotate 1 turn CW back to Z1 , you are now at TDC overlap

3- lock crank , rotate cam CW or CCW until valve is 5.2 mm down ( its a 68S) , right side is done ,

4- you turn 2 turns and you check that you still have 5.2 mm , at TDC overlap

5- that's where I get confused, where is # 4 , , its a TDC ,, but is it tdc spark or TDC overlap

6- if its a TDC spark , then you install the gauge, zero it , rotate 1 turn , ( now your at TDC overlap )

7- adjust to 5.2 , rotate 2 turn to check and your done

    or did I miss something

    thanks

Each side works opposite of the other at TDC. So while one side is opening the valve then the other side is closed. So while you are at TDC overlap on #1 you are at TDC spark on #4. Get the #1 side timed and then go to the other side and time it, if you do it wrong then you will know as the valves won't adjust properly. Sometime you just need to go through the motions a few times to get the hang of it, if you mess up you can always go back. It can get confusing, especially reading the book over and over, but getting the feel for it you will know when it is right. If you put more rockers in and they don't stay in adjustment then you did the timing wrong.
