WTB: Part # 901.341.080.10 right front Koni 'S' strut

    Guys,
Looking to buy a 1969 right front 3.5 inch S Koni strut (aluminum caliper). The Porsche part # 901.341.080.10 is stamped on the strut. This is the last part I need to put vented rotor, S aluminum struts on my 69 912. Can anybody help me out?

    Thanks

Thanks for trying Jim. If only two lefts made a right!

3 lefts does make a right
I checked and I have a widowed left too.
You can see the bent ball joint mount on my right.
Since you can remove the spot welds to raise the spindle, could one take the spindle off a bent right tube and weld it to a straight left housing?

    Dug,

Do not know if/how a bent tube can be remanufactured. I called my contact at Koni NA just across the river from us in Northern KY and they told me that they could not do it. I also called a number of shops with the same negative answer. My last stop was my local dealer, Porsche of the Village, to see if they might have a fixture to check for straightness. No luck there either. So I am back to shopping.

Too bad you don't need a set John. I have a good left and right strut part numbered 911-341.080.10 & 911.341.079.10 from a 1973 911S. I have the rear HD Adj. Special D shocks too.

    Thanks Henry,
Long story, short (too late), I have a matched set/pair of 3.5 " Koni struts with aluminum calipers that came off of a 69 E I parted out. As far as I could tell from the pieces that I bought, the car did a serious number of multiple rolls before coming to a serious crunch stop against the left front side. But I may be lucky. The left side strut is seriously bent but maybe only the left side. If the right side is usable, maybe the left side strut that I previously purchased, is all that I need. This winter I will be removing my stock 912 front suspension and replacing it with the Koni struts and S calipers. By Spring time here in Ohio, all things may be made clear on the alignment rack. As they used to say on the TV news: "Film at 11".

Thanks for sharing. Rich Johnson has a jig and can check the struts. He sells on here and on Pelican. I will send you his email address if you decide to contact him.

    Good luck with your project.
