Thread: Momo Prototipo Advise

    Momo Prototipo Advise

For a few years now I've been toying with the idea of getting a Prototipo for my '68 911S, put the original wheel in storage and hopefully enjoy the drive more with a prototipo.

But I'd like to hear other's opinion on size, what is best? A 350mm or something larger, maybe a 370mm?

The original steering wheel is 400mm and is too big IMHO, but I'm wondering if 350 would be too small. I wouldn't consider going smaller than that

    Thanks for your comments
    Henry

350 is too small, will hurt your arms and shoulders and you won't be able to see the gauges, much...try to find a 370 or 380

Karman Konnection in the UK sells a new 370mm Prototipo repro wheel that is very nice but only in black spokes.

we do a 360mm, flat spokes, black enamel - if you find 370 too large for your taste. (I personally dig 370, but our 360 is a gem also.)

I believe the seller is known also as Paulo Bitton....a total scammer, has taken money from several members and never delivered.

The karmann konnection wheel was not available last I checked, but maybe that changed.
