    October 1966 factory photo 911S

    Has anyone seen this factory photo before?

    Okt 1966 Typ 911S 2.0 Coupé as per the inscription on the back

    Nice to see the colour the car was... the print I have is from the factory archive and in black and white...

    i would assume the picture # 1 and # 3 had been taken the same day, just different time,
    but same playground....if I look at the gras....

    Press kit werksfoto

    That early S car was assigned to the Werks press fleet according to Brian Long's 'Porsche 911 The Definitive History 1963 to 1971' first published in 2003.

    Brian used the same photo in his book and it appears in color full page on p 77. The right front three quarter view appears full page on p 76.

    Always thought that picture was of a black car. but color one looks to be Aga blue or bali blue. Also funny that a brand new 911S would have rusty heat exchangers already. Chris

    This pic is from a Christophorus from the day.
    Its obviously one of Huschke's cheapskate publicity stunts.
    I'm equally too slack to look up chapter and verse .....
