    Boge strut Color, 66 MY

A friend is restoring a 66 and found a shade of blue on the Boge front struts. Anybody want to offer an opinion as to what the color should be? Could use a little help.

It is the color he found. Yup, a shade of blue. The ball joint is painted black, though.

Blue? All the Boges were grey in my eye, maybe a bluish grey. The 356 konis were blue.

In fact I have originals in the shed, here is a pic, the front struts were the same color and yes the balljoint was black.

    OK, Blue/grey.
Mark, your picture is a very good example of the color.

    Hi all-

I'm responding to an old thread with hopes that someone may have an original paint strut and a color book.

I have just a small spot of what I think is original paint on my '65 Boge strut - here are the two best matches I could find in RAL

I bought this from Moito. Color in thread very close to actual color. When Boges installed in '67S they were factory painted black. Same on '67 912 Targa. https://www.early911sregistry.org/fo...ght=BOGE+STRUT
