    Rear deck lid question

I just picked up a rear (engine) deck lid and noticed when looking at the underside that it had holes along the lower rear edge for the old chrome P O R S C H E lettering. The holes are filled, probably with "filler". My question is will this lid simply bolt onto a late 80s Carrera 3.2?

I think the license plate lights are different.

It will fit and in addition to the filled letter holes you will have the vestigial license plate lamp holes. Remember to fit first, paint later. You may have to shim the hinge bolts a little to get it to sit right.
