My 2.4S is finally at home

Finally my 2.4S is at home with me. What a journey. Mac73S is an absolutely stand up guy. But buying at a distance is fraught with worry. I am lucky to have a great friend in Gary based in New Hampshire that hauls cars around the US. He collected the car and took it to the Jersey docks.
But you are always worried that the car could get damaged during, storage, loading in the container although I shipped it in a 20 foot box and then unloading our end.
My good friend and mechanic Brian collected the car from the docks and then set about sorting out the electrics to meet UK requirements.
New RHD lights. Car now has a UK mot and once I receive the paperwork from the shippers I can sort out the UK registration.
Couple of daft things to sort out.
The indicator lights in the dash both come on when you apply the handbrake and the clock is a little noisy.
Thoughts on this would be appreciated.
So tonight Brian brought the S home.
Grabbed a bite to eat and then Kerry the wife saw the car for the first time this evening.
She spent about 15 minutes looking at it from every angle. Running her hand along the body.
    Well I said.
"She is stunningly stunningly beautiful. I absolutely love her. The colour is just beautiful and the interior wow "
She now shares my tight two car garage with my Hellcat. Another beauty

The clock is telling you that it is probably original and has not been changed to a quartz movement. It is a badge of honor for the old S. Electrically you should have the wiring diagram and get your hands dirty. Bond with your new S.

    Not a problem LongRanger.
First off the S had euro rear lights so not much to worry about there.
I bought a pair of Porsche oe right hand drive chrome bezel headlamps.
These come with the side light built in so we have left the full yellow front indicators and retained the yellow sidelight.
Brian took the car for its UK MOT test which of course it passed.
So now I am waiting on the title and NOVA certificate which is proof of paying the import duty and then I can send off the paperwork and obtain a UK number plate.

Received the NOVA and the title Friday so I have sent the paperwork off for UK registration.
It is a requirement in the UK to run a front number plate.
But I hate the look of them and I do not appear to have any mounting brackets.
    What do you guys do.
A very good friend and air cooled enthusiast helped me out today with my missing double ended screwdriver and ring spanner.
All for the price of a curry.
A seriously top bloke that has owned many air cooled Porsche's including a 3.0 litre RS back in the day.
Called in to see how my good friend Steve is progressing with finishing off my 65 car a 302 chassis numbered car. (I have a lot of good friends )
Almost there. They have started to salt the roads around here. So bang goes driving the S and even trailering the 65 to run the fresh engine in at the circuit might me a no no.
