HELP!! Can anyone provide a photo of the rear decklid harness?

I have installed my engine/transmission and I am ready to install the rear decklid, but first, I would like to be sure that the decklid wiring harness is correctly routed. My car is an Aug '67 build.

Can anyone provide me with a photo of the correct harness route?

    Thank you, as always.

WOW!!! What a BEAUTIFUL car!! I love the color. Your car also has the wiring for the rear wiper, but I think I get the general idea.

Those photos help very much. They also raise another question ... what sort of clamp is used to hold the wiring harness to the driver side hinge? I'll have to look at that more carefully.

    Thank you.

Not my car. Just one my restorer had handy. You can scroll back and forth in that album to see other pictures that might help. That car was preserved, not restored.

    It's a small, push-on wire clip.

Perhaps this photo of a '69 hinge with harness attached will be of assistance:

ejboyd5, thank you very much. 68 was a transition year to 69, so ... maybe ....

i do note, however, that the 69 clip in the photo is plastic, while silverbullit suggested the clip was wire, and there are two of them, where the SWB photos seem to show only one.

hmmm ... any photos out there of the clip(s) for SWB?

Don't go looking for contradictions where none exist. I assure you, the clips on the '69 are metal, not plastic. Since there was no functional difference in the rear deck lid design between the SWB and the LWB cars, I fail to see any reason why the routing of the harness or the clips restraining same would be any different in a '68 than in a '69. Good luck with your project, I've done all I can.

i certainly meant no offense in my response. i certainly respect your argument, your opinion and your photograph, and i appreciate your willingness to share them.

however, having spent some significant time with parts manuals, it is not unusual for clips and clamps to change from year to year, despite the same functionality. there is no insult in that reality. i only asked to get a closer photo of an original SWB clamp for the wiring harness on the rear decklid to see whether they are the same.
