attachment orange tubes for rear window heating

I bought these tubes but do not know how these were fixed to the metal on either end. They came with 2 white and thin tie-wraps, but assume that is not correct for 1965.
Also, did the hot air directly flow thru these or was there an inner tube?

My 67 is attached with those white plastic tie straps. Nothing inside the tube.

    Rear window defroster tubes

First a photo (1967 911S original) showing the top section of the orange defrost tube with the "T & B Ty-Rap" holding it in place. If you have a 911R, the same "T & B Ty-Rap" was used on the flex oil lines in the L/R fender housing prior to the oil tank...
