911S 1967 ordered with 185 PS engine for racing.

Very intresting 911S 1967 ordered by the racing driver Sten Frodhe in Sweden in Dec 1966 to run in racing.
Ordered with 185 PS from fabric instead for 160 PS wish was standard on 911S 1967. Se Kardex.

Saw a similar Kardex once, with order for a factory tuned engine. On that it was noted that factory warranty did not apply.

Agree, this one appears to say the same: keine garantie
So it also appears that the engine was rebuilt in January to higher performance; 180 PS was target performance and actual test performance was 185.2 PS, so this was a pretty good performance boost. Do we know details of what enhancements were performed during this period?

Probably could have got there or close with rally kit + sport kit 2. Sport kit 2 is listed as a 15 ps/din bump. Rally kit had polished intake manifolds + heads which maybe deliver a few more ponies.

If not sold during the last couple weeks, it is still here in Norway.

I have also seen a few kardexes with similar upgrades and notations about no warranties. Interestingly all were done in January and they were for the werks cars in the monte carlo rally (1968) like this one.

is the car in question a known rallye car?

Sten Frodhe 911S participated directly in the Swedish Championship in Speed racing on Ice Class 4 Tourist cars Group 3 to 2 000 cc. Seven races were included in the Championship between 29/1-19/3 1967 and there was a third place for Sten Frodhe.

Interesting photo. The one 911 appears to be RHD. Do you have VIN's associated with these cars/drivers?
