    1968 Ignition Switch

My US 68 has an ignition switch that resembles the one pictured below, on the right. The terminal descriptors are quite different from those I generally can find anywhere . They usually look like those in the second image (bottom left). The dotted lines in that diagram are also unclear as to where they end (the grey one for example).

Can some one give me an indication of which wire goes to which terminal on my switch?

After 2 days of searching I found an old file that presented the "Inland" and "Export" different versions of the terminal coding on the early cars, by Roger Chaney. Pure gold! All sorted now. It seems that someone was in thew past playing around with the terminal connections on my 68 and also there were some few remains of an old immobiliser system. Now back to standard ignition electrics for US delivered car.

Merv, what a handsome, knowledgeable, true enthusiast must have annotated that wiring diagram!

Yes. The original was called, IIRC, the "Up-Fixen #4", or similar. Thanks for your help with this.
