    1967S euro speedo?

What would the correct speedo be for a 67S sold new in Germany?

    kms or miles?

My car was sold new in germany but has a speedo in MPH.
It was restored in 1984 and could have had the speedo replaced during the restoration.

maybe it was sold to an american who served in germany and planned to bring it to the US and ordered us specs for the gauges...otherwise it should be KM.
but from your photo i would say it came with KM since the oil gauge says druck not press like it should be for US specs.

my Kardex shows a German dealer but not much else.
could very well have been sent to USA shortly after.

Just Prior to restoration in 1984, it was appraised with "57500 miles". So i would think that speedo was in the car for quite some time.
During restoration the speedo must have been reset, restored or replaced as it now reads approx 22681 miles since restoration.

Trying to track down the owner who commissioned the restoration or even the restorer to help solve the mystery...

to further the mystery, the car came with the option "warnlichtanlagen" (hazard lights) as per the Kardex.
The owners manual lists it as a USA only option....

It is the center switch on the dash above the radio.

Perhaps all north american cars were delivered with it standard and cars bought in europe by americans had it added as an option?
