Thread: 72 Deck Lid Grill - Which one?

72 Deck Lid Grill - Which one?

We have a 72S and the original grill is long gone.

Need to replace it. The car is having concours level restoration.

I see Porsche Classic is doing one for about twice the money as the other repros.

Anyone seen one - are they different the same better or are they all rubbish?

Or should I try and find an original and re anodise - (along with all the associated pitfalls) they all seem purple by now.

    Any feedback appreciated.

My original Grill is a little bit purple but I think that's what makes it look so good. You know it's the real thing. I wish I could find the 911T emblem that is the same faded color.

I would not recommend the Porsche Classic grill . The one I got was powder coated black instead of anodized and the wire screen behind the grill was different than an original . Maybe they are better now .
