    2017 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance featured marque & special classes

    Rceived an e-mail this morning from the Concours organizers announcing the '17 date and the main featured marque and additional special features:

    Main featured marque - Isotta-Fraschini

    Main feature sub-class - Carrozzeria Castagna, who were Isotta Fraschini's favored coach builder, but also bodied many other manufacturer's offerings.

    Special classes:
    Ferrari major race winners - Ferrari, which turns 70 in '17 has won almost all major international races.

    Ferrari One-Off specials. Custom-bodied road cars.

    1960 American Dream cars

    Jaguar Custom bodied Specials

    ____________________________

    As usual, the Concours is scheduled to be held on the third Sunday in August, i.e. Aug. 20, 2017. The current plan calls for 225 spots to be invited & filled.

    I count the days................

    Does that mean Ferrari will be honored at the Historics? One can only hope...
