Recommendations on a really good Jump Starter

I'm looking to buy a jump starter to keep in the garage, just in case.
Any recommendations, what to buy, what NOT to buy, real world experiences and problems.
Thanks all, and have any incredible holiday season full of joy, happiness, and good health.

    Serge,
We've been using these for over a year and have been pleasantly surprised by them.

Keep in mind that none of these small portable chargers will start a diesel engine.

If I'm not mistaken ours started my Detroit 60.

Although I can't remember how dead the batteries were.

You said it is going to be in your garage. If that is the case, you should just keep a large capacity battery on a tender and use that as portability is not an issue.
If portability is an issue, the best thing I have found is in the pictures. This thing is magic! It has started many a dead car in the year of so that I have had it. It also keeps your cell phone charged or can extrend the battery life of your phone. I paid a bunch of money for it to be the first kid on the block with one but they can be bought for less than $100.00 from many sources. I highly recommend carrying one in your car at all times. Jeff, I wouldn't be surprised if this thing would start a Diesel Truck!

    Regards

    Jim

Jim- I read through the info on it. They say it will start a 5.2 liter diesel. Cool!

I've seen those little iPhone sized packs at Costco, never thought they could work.

I just realized that you have pretty much the same thing as mine, just a different manufacturer. Most people that look at the thing swear that it couldn't start a car. They are amazed when they see it in use. Do I need to make all those disclaimers that I am not affiliated with the company, just a satisfied customer?

    Ciao

Probably all made by the same Asian manufacturer.
I'm sure there's someone in this community who knows everything about them.

They're über handy for the Mrs too; USB port to charge hand helds and other gadgets.

Not sure how TSA feels about them though?
