New Production - Recaro Sport Seat mounting Frames / Tip Bases w. Sliders - 1969-1972

I was at an old friend today, had not spoken to him for a while and a couple years back he had plans to replicate the heavy complicated tilt slider seat bases that were used on the factory recaro sport seats. He started this project because he could not find a second hand set of frames, but he could lend a set and he is in the coating business, so he knew a guy here and there that could do some work... Having that said, the project took him years, and lots of money, but he is now in the position to reproduce the frames in single locking version. Double lockers is out of the question untill he is able to recoup his investment in this. For now he is planning to do a run of 15 sets (L+R) of wich 2 to 3 sets are already available. He has made several rigs to make sure the frames come out correctly and are straight so they will fit nicely in our cars.

I've looked at the result this morning and I was pleasanly suprised with the build quality and the correctness of the set. But since there is already a lot of money and time in this, the are not cheap, this is top of the line stuff. My friend is not that forum/internet savvy and does not have paypal, so for anyone that is interested in a set, just sent me a PM and I'll sent you his e-mail in return, so you can work something out with him about this. I can assist in transactions if needed.

A set will be 2000 Euro and that is excluding shipping costs and or wire/bank fees.
Frames are located in the netherlands

Wow, these look good, right down to the welds. Quite an undertaking, but well done!

I'm in the same boat. I would also need a set of sliding rails if sold seperately.
