    Engine matting

Who does the best engine soundproof mat these days for a 1972 car?

I know Eric does great ones for earlier cars as I have used them but what about the later cars.

The one offered by Appbiz (App Biz? AppBiz?) on Ebay is quite good. Fits well, even holds in place without glue. the outer "skin" is produced in the molding process so it's integral to the foam and can't delaminate. Pretty sure this is the one Ed Mayo prefers. You may want to check with him.

It is, and for the reason Jeff mentioned, I prefer the app-biz over the original Porsche, which falls apart in a few years.

I see Appbiz sell "deluxe" and "ultimate" versions of their sound matting. Any views on whether the ultimate is worth the extra over the deluxe or is the deluxe the one to go for?
    Thanks

Before ordering I spoke with Appbiz and they recommended the deluxe. Very pleased with the fit and overall appearance. It looks like it will last, but it has only been three months so far.

Would love to see some pictures on the stages of the installation of the new sound pad.
