And your favorite sport muffler is....

I'm looking to replace my stock Dansk (purchased at EASY in 2000) with one of the following sport mufflers:

    1. http://www.automotion.com/dansk-orig...1965-1974.html $769 but pic doesn't match description

    2. Incognito: https://europortparts.com/sku/101010...ByCBoCoQLw_wcB $547

    3. Old standby https://www.partsklassik.com/Porsche...NQFBoCWBHw_wcB $572

    4. This might take some fabrication to make work: http://www.pelicanparts.com/catalog/...EXHPRF_pg2.htm M&K 911R $795

I would love to know what your favorite sport (not race) exhaust is. Everybody knows that Jim Breazeale has the best sport muffler but I'm looking for the 2nd best, possibly from the list above for my stock 71T 2.2 with SSIs.

Anyone hear of these guys? made in France, very pricey but sounds pretty nice for a 2in-1out:

Yea, I have a Scart. The build, materials, and fab work are very good A++. Unfortunately, they are located in Fr. Product is pricey but comes with all the hardware needed. But hardware isn't what it's all about. I think a Monty is less or same price range but no 60mm outlet offered if I recall.

The Scart sound demos are impressive- vastly different from your prior muffler (original or Dansk)?

Unsure, I haven't installed it yet. Something to keep in mind, is each muffler is different and performance will vary on any given engine. I purchased based on sound and appearance. If you talk to some of the "California" engine builders they may swear the Monty is good thru the range or the Dansk Sport if price is the premium. Or copy what Ed Mayo has...he has seen it all. Performance and sound may not be correlated.

I bought a used M&K because they guy didn't like the 2500 drone.....It pretty much went away after 500 mi or so. It will still set off alarms on fancy Italian junk, which is a plus for me....
Light weight and makes good noise...

I bought a M&K 2 in 1 out from a guy with a cab about 5 yrs ago, TOO Loud in his cab, I bit of modification on outlet and fit the 71 Targa with SSI & Weber's, just SWEET, addicting sound and putting your foot into it. low weight, stainless and text book TIG Welds by very skilled folks.

I have a M&K 2 in 2 out GT3 style sport muffler on my fairly stock 3.2 (ssi's, Steve Wong chip, low restriction air cleaner. I love the sound, solid but not too loud, never noticed a drone but I only drive for fun, not commuting or any such work.
Might also check out the Sycip 2 in 3 out with caps for all the outlets. It's a replica of the. 911R sport muffler the factory used back in the day, I'm told. A bit pricey but handmade from a Dansk steel muffler, then hard coated. Sounds nice when open, totally like stock when the one out is selected.

I have had many mufflers...trying to find the perfect combo of power and sound....my faves to date have been the Dansk 2in- 1 out sport and Triad 2in-2 out. (every other 2in-2 out droned and/or set off every car alarm in the neighborhood)
