Quarter window seal for 73 911

Can anyone comment on the latest and greatest outer quarter window rubber seals for 1973 911? Prices range from $140+ down to $35.00 for the Uro offering. I don't want to just assume OEM is the best these days. I am speaking of part #'s 901-543-901-20 and 901-543-902-20. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks, Mark

Anything that is available from Porsche I buy from them or vendor that supplies them. There IS a difference. There are some aftermarket pieces that Porsche doesn't supply any more such as the rubber door plugs.

That's part of the question. One of my commercial parts suppliers lists the rubber molding on their site and it says OEM supplier or something like that.

I will do some investigating. We don't have an accout w World Pack as they said we were too small, yet we have an account w Advance Auto, which is owned by World Pac. Go figure. So I may be able to just order through AA and get the same one you are familiar with. Does it have and recognizable marking/brand on the packaging?

I got mine at my local Porsche dealer with 20% off from sticker price. That meant is was just overpriced. Not stupidly overpriced.

These seals are critical in stopping rust. If they're old and hard water runs down inside of the car every time you wash it. The water then pools up in the rear seat depressions. If you haven't checked under there for rust lately you should.

This is generally a problem in place with hot sun. Think AZ and Florida.
