What colour body for early 911 Webers ?

I have a set of IDA'S that I'm getting restored. A question has arisen about the body colour, i.e. Should they be yellow passivated or just natural ???

Every Weber that I have seen has been "natural".

Here's mine. I just assumed this was the natural color. I've seen a lot of Ferraris with black Webers though.

As cast aluminum thru 1967 then the colorization process was started for 1968 year model; those would be IDAP for USA and IDT, IDS & IDA for ROW Webers. Steel hardware colorization also changed with time. Check out my Gallery page for period correct finishes: http://http://www.performanceoriented.com/index/
