    Frank,

if you find another one in one of your treasure chests (or an original one), I could be your buyer.

The OEM, or 'real' VDO 10K tachs are 30000 imp, nothing else...

Just to ease the confusion over the "imp"s, this appears to be the IMPulses per minute that the tach is rated for. So a 6 cylinder produces 3 ignition impulses per revolution, thus 30000 per minute at 10000 RPM. So a 30000 imp is rated for 10000 RPM and 24000 imp is rated for 8000 RPM with a 6 cyl.

This tach is spoken for and the buyer knows exactly what he's getting.

But I am curious what a 30k "real" tach is worth these days?

I got a real, verified 30000 imp 10k tach at a swap meet just a few years back for $90

    Yup those days are gone

Today I'd peg it at $2000-3000
