    Cigarette lighter

The interior of my '69T is just about done, and I've somehow wound up with two original cigarette lighters (I have no idea how!). Both have caps showing a cigarette with a puff of smoke. On one the smoke is white and on the other the smoke is red. They are otherwise identical. Which is correct for which years/models?

    Thanks,

    Rich

I think I can answer my own question. The "red fume" cigarette lighter appears to be 1969-only. Correct?

Actually, the red flame covers a few years, but it is correct for a 69.

Here's my '69. I always considered the red to represent flame, not smoke.

My US-delivered '68 911L has the red fume lighter, here's a pic from 1971 (you have to expand it, but you actually can see the red as opposed to the white smoke). I converted this pic from a set of slides that my uncle took of this car when he bought it in '71
