Looking to purchase a fairly priced ($300 or less?) CO meter to assist me with tuning my engine. Any brand/model recommendations?

I'd rather get a wideband 02 sensor in the first step and weld some threads in my manifold.
You can check your mixture in all driving conditions.
For the CO meter I bought some old used but working Bosch 4 gas analyzer which still works standalone without a computer and I rarely used it since I have the WB02.
Cheers
Uli
Hmm. Really need something easily portable that I can just stick in the tailpipe of each of my cars.
with a little fixture you can do this with a Wideband 02 too
I bought a used Gunson Gas tester on ebay, sipped for $ 100. For my 73S set it at 8% at 3,000 and 7% at idle. No hesitation, backfire and plugs look great .
You might consider an air/fuel ratio meter, doesn't read in C/O percentage but rather air/fuel ratio. These are designed to be portable for drive-ability testing.

A couple of old school ones that I have simply because I like them and they are around period of early 911, even though there's newer kit that I'd use
Season's greetings to all

I bought this one. You can get the optional tail pipe adapter.
