New guy and glad to be here

    Hi guys and Merry Christmas,

Wanted to introduce myself to the group and let you know a bit about me and why I joined. I've been a sports car enthusiast for basically all my life. My first model was an MG 1600 and my first car was a Triumph TR3. Had real minis, Karman Ghias, VWs, P1800, Z cars, 6 Bimmers, 4 Porsches and others. Worked on them, maintenance and more. I am currently driving a nice car, 2015 435i, but something is missing. You wouldn't think so in a way, I mean it's powerful, has a great transmission, comfortable, great nav, and nice looking but it's almost too perfect! I mean shouldn't a car inspire and thrill? So here I am looking again and thinking of the visceral experience that the air cooled 911 offers. Just saw a forum entry sent to me by a fellow member about the blue metallic 71 911 resto mod as I would call it that sold in 1 hour and that doesn't surprise me one bit. Wish I had been the first to see that one myself. But like I've always said "when the pupil is ready the master appears". I'm trying to get ready for the next time something really beautiful like this comes along.

So greeting to all and I am sure I'll enjoy the fun and folks and education I'll get here.
    Thanks everyone.

Welcome! Lots to learn but you've found a good resource. Take your time and post what you finally locate. We'll all enjoy seeing it!

Welcome to this excellent registry. Good to see folks from the Southeast on here. Be careful not to add any letters to your name Pnut from Florida. This is Peanut, also from (South) Florida.

    Cheers,
