    70-S - blower motor testing...

    I would like to test this blower motor for its 3 speed operation...re the attached photo can anyone tell me which of the posts are the ground, first, second and third fan speed? Thank you.

    Any feedback, as I would be interested in know this as well?

    I just use a 12 v battery, jumper leads, and bench test it. Just determine which post is ground.

    I'm doing the same thing with my '73. I used a VOM meter at the plug. I have power at the plug. The motor doesn't activate though.

    My next step is to take the motor out - and apart. I did this about 10 years ago and the blower magically started working. I suspect that my brushes are shot this time. We'll see.

    I might get to all of this over the weekend. We'll see.

    Using my photo as a reference, the incoming RED power wire connects to the top left terminal and the BROWN ground wire connects to the lower right terminal. The other two studs - at least looking in through the fresh air valve hole - have no wires connected.
