    Question on interior insulation material

I've read the many threads on which materials are better. I also see that Stoddard is now offering a set up. This got me to thinking, does anyone have a computer scan of the various pieces of sound deadening materials? I would assume that Stoddard's are cut via a cad type machine. If their were such a pattern available, you could simply print to size on paper the various pieces, and then use those paper pieces as a template to cut your own out of the material of your choice. Has anyone ever seen a measured set of those, or have a computer scan of them? Thanks Steve

    Hello

So what is considered the best insulation material? I pulled the insulation material out of a 70 Coupe, even the bottom side of the roof had insulation.

Once you determine what kind of insulation you want, it isn't all that difficult to cut patterns by hand using construction paper. I used dynamat insulation but didn't want to get the goo on the painted chassis (it is impossible to remove) . So, we applied the dynamat to thin jute backing and then cut the resulting composite using the patterns. Makes for a lot less messy install.

I cut mine by hand. I used Wurth because that was the closest to OEM. You want to be careful that you don't use a sound deadner that hold water. A lot of the jute types will. That's just asking for rust issues.
