    Recaro tilt seat bases

I have 2 tilt bases. They're on sliders. They work really well. Knobs say Recaro. They move back and forward and have a handle to allow the seats to tilt forward. Please feel free to ask questions. $435 plus shipping. Thanks, Jay 315-521-3507Recaro Seat Tracks.JPG

I have several thoughts on this thread:

A: I'm really bummed I missed this deal. (But even if I would have been first on the buzzer there is NO WAY I wouldn't be racked with guilt and throw Mr. Geneva some extra scratch.)

And #2 (Appropriate): A little birdie told me that apparently some first class A-holes in this community let Mr. Geneva know that he sold said seat frames WAAAAY TOOOO CHEEEP. Now why would someone do that AFTER an offer was broadcast and a deal made? Would they expect Mr. Geneva to back out of his deal? If not, then why scorch the guy?

Oh wait! I know: Because they were PISSED that they weren't the buyer and decided the best way to vent their tantrum was to tell the seller what an absolute idiot he was. Nice. Very 8th grade. (If you were going to let anyone know, it should have been a potential buyer so he could do the right thing.)

How about you guys who engaged in this douchebaggery fess up and defend yourselves?

Oh and I would encourage the buyer to dig deep and put yourself in the seller's shoes; he obviously had no idea what these were worth. I know, I know... he could have done his homework. Agreed but maybe there's some middle ground for a win-win?

Coming from someone who sells a lot of high priced parts this forum, maybe you have a couple of extra bills to subsidize the seller's misfortune. I think selling sport seats for $10k or more, is equally as right as it is to pay someone $500 for the bases. Both examples are free market and both parties were happy with the exchange at the time of the sale. I don't believe I've read anywhere in these classifieds from a seller that shared a story of a buyer adding to the tab because the price was too cheap. If seller has remorse after the sell because of his lack of due-diligence, then I'm sure he won't do it again.

I just hope whoever got them needs them and doesn't horde them until a "thinning out" sale. We all come here looking for a deal, or to see what rare parts are out. rarely is anyone desperate for a part they have to have to get on the road.

My personal thoughts on this are the following....

Many, many people sell or try to sell items for way too much money. Simple greed. Sorry if the shoe fits, wear it.
They are taking advantage of the current economic climate of early 911's.
    My opinion obviously.

A lot of sales items sit on these websites or on Ebay forever without selling at crazy prices.
    Maybe that says it all...
Delusional is what I'd call it.
What did Einstein say...doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result...insanity?
Same for these ultra high prices and expecting people to just flop and buy.

In all my dealings, I've always tried to sell for a fair price that I myself would be willing to pay.
If I'd had these seat bases, my sales price would have been very similar.
    Just saying...
