Air-Cooled Classics at The 2017 Scottsdale Auctions

For those fans fortunate enough to visit the various Scottsdale Auctions this year, please post your observations on this thread. As usual, there will be a number of early 911s on hand to view, inspect and comment on. I've posted under the 911 Normal, 911T, 911E, 911S, etc. 'For Sale' threads individual 'Scottsdale' 911s as I have been made aware of them.

    Goodings:

the 29k km 1979 930 was sweet. sold for 177k plus
the black T5, non matching, paint still wet, loads of incorrect details including VW outside door handles and locks... wth. Also tail lights mounted upside down and filler used in various locations. Sold for 87k plus. Well sold.
the black 73 2.4 S sunroof coupe got its own tread. Mediocre car.
the silver 73 S targa was plain worn out. Needed everything. tired car, yet estimated at 220k.... i would be surprised if it makes 150.
gulf blue 73 T coupe, beautiful car. Seats incorrectly done but still best of the bunch. Sweetheart of a car.
356 SC cab was bondo box. tapped on nose and magnet would not stick in many places. Still sold for 175k plus. Must have been the champagne on black that made it stand out well.
yellow 67 912 was a very nicely done car. Incorrect LF fender (thin lip), and bad repair done to drivers door, but nicely done.
their 'barn find' speedster is a joke. worn out pile that is now partly black and partly primered where it used to be meissen blue. dumb car.
orange 914/6 had some so so gaps and panel fit and had some serious issues with the front shock towers.
The 76 911 signature was incredible top to bottom, but that color combo aged like milk.
