Where to get braided brake resevoir hoses - black

Tapping into the braintrust. I need the two small 7.5mm (I think) brake hoses that go between the reservoir and the master cylinder tubes. Originally these were black braid, but now I can only find blue. Any suggestions?

    Thanks
    David

Stoddard has a darker blue than most suppliers.

Wurth and all other German cloth hose I've seen has a completely different weave than original.

    Dave

Frank is correct (imagine that!) the original hose has a much different weave than anything currently available in black. The blue stuff has a similar weave, if not the same. That said, I'll just send you a pair of original ones. The hoses and the postage is on me. I'm just trying to be "reasonable".

    Regards

    Dave,

I think this is p/n 999.181.021.50; on Transaxle cars this is used to feed the clutch master; a lot of sources are saying the version that is supplied is black. Though I can not comment if it looks identical to original.

How about someone with nothing better to do (David?) spray clear lacquer on std braided cloth and see what happens?

it's really the sheen and lack of peach fuzz that sets it apart. And it almost looks like blue brake fluid hose and original is glue impregnated?

Franz, Do you have peach fuzz over there?
