    Transmission throttle rod bell crank

Anyone know what year these two bell cranks are from ?

    Is one a 1967?

    What's the other?

    Thank you

I think the longer one was for MFI cars, I believe Porsche felt more leverage was needed to overcome the higher resistance from all the throttle rods. I'll bet Jon B knows for sure (and he'll have the bulletin to prove it!!)

Thanks Ed, but actually I'm not so sure. There are several different bell cranks, including 356, and I've never documented them all for dimensions and angles.
My first impression is the same as Gordon's, but I'll see if I can find any further information.

I recall that a 914/6 bell crank looks like a 915 bell crank, but with the arm directions reversed.

Oh yeah, seen that picture in the 356 book, and agree with Gordon that the one looks like a 915 crank, but might there be agreement the leverage was increased for the MFI cars,,,,or am I nuts ???? I know I've encountered problems getting enough pedal travel for full throttle if bellcranks are used incorrectly.

Ed, according to my Spare Parts Catalogue for 1969/70, the bell cranks for 912, 911T, E, S, RHD and Sportomatics were the same: 901.423.027.03
    The pages are dated 8/70.

My Spare Parts Catalogue for 1972/73 shows one bell crank for all models in those years: 911.423.017.00. Those pages are dated 1/73.
So they seem to indicate that there were not different bell cranks for MFI, but I'll look further.
