    What year did they change the rear parcel shelf from the earlier ribbed design

    I am interested to know what year they changed the rear parcel shelf as in the steel shell of the car from the ribbed design to the later non ribbed version.

    the first year for coupe was 72.

    targa was earlier 68 i think

    I have a 70 targa and had researched some cars stated as original and they had a smooth rolled over edge at the transition from the shelf to the vertical ribs. Also would like to extend this to the detail of the shelf were it ends at rear glass.
    As this may not be correct based on moito's comment can someone provide a photo and other information to confirm accuracy and edge details
