My guess is the $25,000 bid is a shill bidder!

Good call indeed with the date - my bad!

As others have mentioned, this car has been for sale in Nebraska for years. I had called the dealer a few years back when I was looking for a 911E. He seemed courteous but the price just seemed too low to be true so I passed.

The $550 is the labor charge to drop the powertrain. The parts etc are listed below. Still a good price either way.

The receipt clearly says R&R engine AND overhaul. If it’s $550 to just R&R the engine (which seems reasonable), then the mechanic charged no labor for disassembly and assembly. I think not!

I won’t disagree with what’s been said but I think we are missing the forest for the trees at this point. Larger things to dissect than the $550 charge.

After four days, the seller has one reply, and it's cryptic at best. One random bid, and a lot of questions, so I'm guessing RNM is likely.

I guess the "poor" dealer is currently thinking very hard about how he can get rid of that wonderful piece of machinery

Might be the cheapest MFI E coupe you'll find in a long while.

I'd just do some hot rod touches and laugh off the horrible panel fit.

It'll likely nickel and dime you to death, starting with the $550 engine build. not sure how long you will be hot rodding it with that 5 blade fan

I don't get a warm and fuzzy feeling about this one. I think even if you picked it for 25K you would be underwater quickly. Maybe I'm wrong but it looks like a patch on the bottom of the drivers side Longitude. Have a bad feeling this one's been bent so probably want it up on a Celette bench to check it. Being an owner of a 69, looks like many of the "69 only" rare parts are gone such as the one year only dash. Add that with what looks like a car without a matching numbers engine and I would definitely want a PPI on this one.
